前言

本試驗法之目的在決定元件、裝備或其他產品於低溫環境下操作及儲存之能力。

範圍

本試驗法同時適用於生熱(heat-dissipating)及不生熱(non heat- dissipating) 試件，並依試驗方法之不同可區分為溫度驟變(sudden change of temperature)及溫度漸變(gradual change of temperature)兩種，其中溫度驟變試驗主要在於節省試驗時間。本試驗法可區分為：

試驗方法Aa：不生熱試件之溫度驟變法 
試驗方法Ab：不生熱試件之溫度漸變法 
試驗方法Ad：生熱試件之溫度漸變法
